Who are Tinderbox?

 

We are a friendly and approachable team who are always out seeing gigs, on the lookout for new exciting talent. We’ve spent our careers in studios, at festivals and out on tour. We know that the music industry is a difficult place to navigate, and we want to help.

…in a young band, we’re gigging but we don’t know how to fund or organise our first release!

Get in touch, our programme is designed to help you create, fund, promote and get the most out of a release.

We don’t have the resources to work with everyone, and we look out for acts that align stylistically with our producer and those who will benefit the most from our experience. So if we don’t feel your music is right for our programme, it’s not because we don’t believe in you. Keep in touch - there are other ways we can help.

…in a band, but we’ve already recorded the music we want to release. Can we still get involved in Tinderbox?

Please get in touch. You don’t have to take up all the things we offer and if it is a suitable project we may be able to work together.

Yes. We’re equipped to work with acts of all sizes. If you feel we can support your career, help you get more out of it creatively, or just help you achieve some stability and independence, let's have a conversation.​​

…an independent label, and we think Ben’s production would suit one of our artists. However, we don't have the money to finance the album/EP. Where could Tinderbox fit in?

Tinderbox works with artists and bands of all stages of their professional and creative development and we can tailor our programme to their needs and focus. 

 

We’re always keen to collaborate with new industry partners to better support artists and the independent music industry at large. We have a shared interest, so get in touch and let’s have a conversation.

…an artist manager of a great band that Tinderbox should work with! But is the programme only for acts who need management guidance?

Absolutely not! The programme is tailored to the needs of the band, so if you’ve got management covered, we can focus our guidance elsewhere.

…am an artist making a record with Tinderbox. But who owns the copyright to our recordings?

All artists retain 100% of all copyrights in the recorded music. As a non-profit our focus is helping you build the most financially sustainable and creatively fulfilling career possible. Therefore you can release your recordings yourself, or with a label, they’re all yours.
