About
Tinderbox is a non-profit artist development programme, with three key strands designed to give upcoming artists the skills and resources needed to navigate the music industry.
At no cost to them, participants will receive bespoke artist development guidance and practical advice based on their music and aspirations, as well as professional production and studio time with an established producer to record a body of work, alongside expert funding and business advice from our experienced team. The
Programme
ARTIST DEVELOPMENT
Each participant will receive artist development guidance on all necessary elements of maintaining a career in the music industry. This will include focusing on artist proposition, image and branding, research, target audience and competition, marketing and promotion including social media and strategic planning.
PRODUCTION
Each participant will work closely with an established producer on all areas of record creation including pre-production, songwriting, studio and recording, post-production and mixing.
FUNDRAISING
Each candidate will work with an experienced fundraiser to line up funding for their project. They’ll learn how to research funding avenues, write an application and budget a project.
Artists
Tinderbox and our industry partners are always on the hunt for undeniable talent, either by attending gigs and festivals, consulting our Industry Partners and checking in with key tastemakers in the region. The three practitioners at Tinderbox have over 50 years experience working across many areas of the music industry. They are well placed to nurture and guide upcoming artists whilst also providing them with the skills to maintain a fulfilling and successful career in a highly competitive industry.

Tinderbox has an extensive network of contacts across the music industry. We have built a team of industry partners who will help us find and nurture the best talent on the scene. Some of our partners will be brought in to mentor our artists in their specialist area, from social media and digital marketing, to business and styling, providing additional bespoke learning experiences for our artists.
